Summer Meals
Click here for the free summer meals program for children and teens called "Be Bright, Eat Right Rockdale" (BBERR). RCPS and BOLD Ministries partner to deliver free, healthy, delicious meals for students at neighborhood locations Monday to Friday during the summer.

Middle School Orientation, Acceleration Camps, Enrichment Camps

•  EDWARDS MIDDLE SCHOOL 6th-8th Grade, Summer Acceleration Camp, June 3-6 and June 10-13, 2019, 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Lunch provided. Reading/language arts and math topics, to prepare students for success in the upcoming school year; all students invited, priority to students considered at-risk. •  CONYERS MIDDLE SCHOOL, 6th Grade Bulldogs Day Camp, July 18, 2019, 10 a.m.-12 p.m. noon, cost $25, can pay at the door.

•  DAVIS MIDDLE SCHOOL, 6th Grade Golden Eagles Day Camp, July 16, 2019, 9 a.m.-1 p.m., cost $20, can pay at the door (includes lunch and T-shirt). Register online at dms.rockdaleschools.org or fill out registration form at DMS office.



Rockdale Magnet School 2019 Summer Science STEAM Camp (PDF)  (RTF)
June 3-7, 2019; 9 a.m.-12 p.m. (morning) session and 12:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m. (afternoon) session each day; rising 5th-8th grade. Explorations include forensic science, cupcake engineering, chemistry of tye dye, wildlife studies, invention and entrepreneurship. Weekly registration cost per student for one session (half day) is $100 or for two sessions (whole day) is $180. Registration deadline May 10, 2019 at magnet.rockdaleschools.org . RVC (Rockdale Virtual Campus) summer courses  (PDF) (RTF)
Starts June 3, 2019; ends week of July 15, 2019; rising 6th-12th grade; opportunity for students to get ahead (first time takers, not credit recovery); classes include Health, Personal Fitness/PE, French I-IV, Spanish I-IV, Conceptual Physics, Environmental Science, Mythology, Peer Facilitation I-III. Cost is $80 for a one-semester credit/class (Health, Personal Fitness/PE, Mythology), $160 for a two-semester credit/class (all other classes); cash or money order only, due May 24, 2019, 3 p.m., at RVC Office, Room 1411 in Rockdale Career Academy. ArtSmart Summer Camp (PDF)  (RTF)
June 17-21, 2019, 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m., ages 6-14; 910 Center Street, Conyers, GA, 30012; 770-922-3143. The Conyers-Rockdale Council for the Arts, Bella Musica Music Studio, and The Sketching Pad present ArtSmart Camp; includes drawing, watercolor, drama, music, sculpting, and more; classes are held at Center St. Arts, The Sketching Pad, BellaMusica, and The Rockdale Auditorium. Daily Check-in and pick-up at Center Street Arts (910 Center St.). Five daily classes; performance at 3 p.m. on Friday, June 21, 2019. Tuition includes all supplies, daily snacks, and a pizza party on Friday. Campers are asked to bring lunch Monday-Thursday. Tuition is $145 before and on June 1, 2019 and $160 after June 1, 2019. AIRR (Adaptive Inclusive Recreation of Rockdale) Summer Adventures

Bright Future for Kids, Inc. Summer Bridge Club (PDF)  (RTF)
June 4 - July 11, 2019, Tuesdays or Saturdays for six weeks.  Two-hour sessions: Morning 10 a.m.-12 p.m. or Afternoon 1 p.m.-3 p.m. or Evening 4 p.m.-6 p.m.  Location: 1070 Iris Drive SW, Conyers, GA 30094. Choose club(s): Literacy (reading fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, grammar, writing), STEM (hands-on science, technology, engineering, math activities), Math (numeration, measurement, algebra readiness, problem solving). Also offering SAT/ACT test taking preparation.
